More Information
Dr. Schnable's research spans the breadth of genetics, molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics and phenomics, mostly focused on maize. His lab is typically an early adopter of new technologies and has developed and/or deployed a number of important genomic tools and resources for the study of maize biology. Schnable’s wide-ranging investigations of the maize genome have resulted in >120 peer-reviewed publications and an h-index of 56. Schnable is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, serves as an associate editor for PLoS Genetics (Impact Factor 8.7), and is the chair of the American Society of Plant Biology’s Science Policy Committee. He is a past chair and current member of the Maize Genetics Executive Committee.
